    Hello Ron,
I’m facing an issue with the thumbnails, if you go to my site (I shortened it using, I don’t want Google to scan backlinks from your site.) You will see articles that their thumbnails cut in the wrong place. How can I adjust or choose which part of the photo will be shown as the thumbnail?

*I tried using “Regenerate Thumbnails” and it didn’t help.

    Thank you!

You will see articles that their thumbnails cut in the wrong place.

Right place? This is subjective and would vary from image to image. WordPress can’t tell which is the “right” place for you. You can try switching to the other thumbnail size 150×150 to see if that’s what you’re looking for. You could also try to change the dimensions on WP-Admin -> Settings -> Media ( You will have to regenerate thumbnails after changes ). You can also try to manually edit each thumbnail on Media Library -> Edit -> Edit Image but I don’t recommend this.

150X150 dosne’t fit, it makes some photos to be cut wrong as well.
I tried editing it thorugh WP-Admin -> Settings -> Media
But there is no option to edit the size of the thumbnails.

Dear Roi, I was facing same problem of “wrongly cut” thumbnails (it was cutting images in the middle). I found this post and following Ronnel instructions to set the size in WP-Admin -> Settings -> Media and unchecked following option right below the 150 x 150 thumbnail size

Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional)

Then I deleted manually previously generated thumbnails from media library, and re-generated thumbnails… My problem resolved and now all the thumbnails are rightly cut 🙂
