Sorry, but that’s not how the theme’s slider works. The slider uses a post’s Featured Image as explained here https://ronangelo.com/frontier-documentation/
If you need a slider which offers more functionality, you could use a slider plugin then place it’s shortcode on the Before Content widget area to replace the theme’s slider.
