  1. I have a weird problem that appeared after I added the option
    to split a post to pages. For some reason, the footer of the site links to the pages of the last post.
    I didn’t download a plugin or something, just a simple code from
    WP codex. The code is :

    I added it to index.php. What I need to do in order to delete those links on the bottom of my site?

    1. What was the code you added? Link to the codex page?

      The code you posted on your comment is stripped away because you didn’t enclose it in <code> tags as instructed on the comment form.

      What I need to do in order to delete those links on the bottom of my site?

      Delete the code you added.
      If you want your posts to be split in many pages you only need to add <!--nextpage--> on your post’s content.

      Note: if you’re not using the header area and the main menu, you could disable those on Frontier Options -> Display by unchecking Enable the header area and Enable the main menu below the header.

      1. Thanks for your help, I know why links appeard on the bottom.
        You see, I looked online how to split a post to pages,
        and found the nextpage command, I posted it and nothing happend.

        So I added this code to the index.php of the theme:
        <?php wp_link_pages(); ?>
        Now I tried deleting this line and writing manually the nextpage command and now it works just fine, thank you.

  2. Hello Ron,
    How do I remove Meta from my right side bar?

    1. Those are the default widgets that show up when no widgets are set on the widget page. Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets then add your chosen widgets on the Sidebar.

  3. Hi! I know you gave me this info already about my old site, but can’t seem to recall or find it. I have the slider working, but, when it gets to the last post, it stops and does not continue back to the beginning to start over. What do I have to do to make the slider keep going again? Add or remove some code?

    1. If you’re using Disqus plugin, you’ll have to check Output JavaScript in footer on its options page.

  4. And if I could one more thing…I want to add a customer, full size footer image, like 170h x 950 width to match my header image. Where exactly do I add the code for the image? I’ve tried everything and nothing is perfect. I want it to sit right above the bottom bar and side to side with no border/padding just like the top header. Thanks again.

    1. Set Frontier Options -> Widgets -> Footer Widget Columns to show 1 Column. Then add your text widget on the Footer Widget Area.

      You could use CSS ( Frontier Options -> Custom CSS ) to change the widget’s design.

      #footer .widget-footer {
         border: none;
         padding: 0;
      1. Ron,

        Thanks again! I’ve tried a few different things but still have this lame boarder around my image in my footer. How do i remove the padding? I can’t seem to make it zero.

        Can you possibly take a look?

        1. If you’re talking about the empty space, that’s the padding.

          #widgets-wrap-footer {padding: 0;}
          #footer .widget-footer {
              border: none;
              margin: 0;
              padding: 0;

          1. Ron,

            Let me say thanks that worked! And by the way, i love the firebug. Starting to really learn more with that.

            With that said, i have this line now at the top of my footer image. It has to be from some kind of border option or padding I think.

            Can you tell me what it is? What tag or something that is causing it?

            That would be my last question for you…for now…

  5. Hi Ron, nice theme, good work. One question : Is ist possible to show the date first on the widget “last blog” ? I hope my english ist good enough. Greetings from germany, Thorsten.

    1. Add this on Frontier Options -> Custom CSS

      .widget_recent_entries .post-date {
          float: left;
          padding-right: 10px;
      1. Hi Ron,

        thanks. Works perfect.

  6. Hello!!

    I just find the translation for your theme in this web:
    I think that It’s a good idea that you included in theme in future upgrades.

    1. I won’t be adding any language files with the theme. Text on the theme may change anytime and I can’t keep updating numerous language files. It’s just troublesome to maintain. I already explained this long ago. The theme already comes with a base english language file that anyone can use to make their own translation. If you want to use that particular spanish translation or if you want to use your own translation then you must add them on a Child Theme so you don’t lose it every time the theme is updated. Read about it here: How to add translation files on a child-theme

  7. Hi

    I am using frontier theme on my website and I loves it. Manage to do some simple editing and I am more than happy without further changes to it since I am not a pro in this. However I am facing one problem. It seems like I can’t read the full post in the category in ‘galleries’. Its shows only ‘read post’. Would you be able to advise? Most appreciated and thank you!

    1. Go to Frontier Options -> Blog View
      Under Article Display, select Full

  8. Hi,
    I have just installed WP fresh on my local testing server for developing a site. Installed Frontier and went to check it in FF IE And Opera.
    FF and Opera render fine but IE (ia m on IE9) is not showing the menu bar correctly and the styling is off?? Any reason for this??
    I hope this can be resolved as i really want to use this theme.
    I look forward to any help

    1. Hi again,
      Sorry for the confusion but it seems due to my testing environment???
      Not sure why, BUT i have setup WP on my hosting reseller and installed WP and the Frontier theme. Tested in FF IE and Opera and all is fine.
      Looks like i will develop for this one remotely.
      Great theme and look forward to getting stuck in.

  9. i want to use Frontier Theme Three Columns into for my blog please tell me how i can use it…

    1. You can’t use Frontier on as it is a WordPress theme.

  10. Hi, I am using frontier theme on my website and I loves it. Thank you.

  11. Hello, Ron.

    I’m new in blogging. Few days ago I’ve created a new blog with your lovely Frontier template. I’ve changed the header Frontier logo with my cover photo with image and text. Now, when I see the mobile version, the image is not shown on screen and text is extended, non of them look well.
    What can I do, and how can I do? I think, may be, I’ll need some codes or so, but I could not find info about that.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards,

  12. Please view my Website in various browsers. In some browsers, a blue bar appears at the top, along with the page title, which is supposed to be disabled. Then an image that should be in the body of the text shows next in the center of the page, followed with the body of the page. There should be NO blue bar, and the page should look ‘normal’, not like it does. HELP!

    1. Looks like you’re using the Mobile Theme Jetpack module that displays the blue bar. Deactivate on Jetpack settings. It’s also possible that the issue is caused by your caching plugin. Refresh the cache.

  13. This is very nice theme.

  14. Hello ron,

    Awesome theme.. I’ve used it in my website. one thing I want to ask.. How can I make the archived list of post shows in random? I mean everytime that a visitor came to each categories it show random post not “ordered by latest post”..

      1. Thanks Ron,

        I already see this plugin, but what I want is in the page itself not in widget area. I’m using the child theme but I don’t know what code I’ll put in the function.php.

        1. Sorry, but I have no idea too.

  15. I saw this in one of your theme. Asteriod..

    function set_archive_order( $query ) {
        if ( $query->is_archive() && $query->is_main_query() ) {
            $query->set( 'orderby', 'date' );
    	$query->set( 'order', 'ASC' );
    add_action( 'pre_get_posts', 'set_archive_order' );

    but i don’t know how to implement this in frontier.

    1. This is a function that arranges the posts order, displaying them in ascending order according to date published. I believe this is different from what you were asking. If it is not, then you just add this on your functions.php
